5 Tips for increasing your ethicL Store Sales

1
Remember, your product is only as enticing as its picture. If the graphic is of poor quality, buyers have no way of making a decision. Use several photos to capture as many aspects of a product as possible.
2
In stores, buyers can use all of their senses to move them to buy a product. When you sell on the web, your words and photos have to do the job for you.

Use descriptions that engage the senses, eg:

Look: the color of a ripe red tomato freshly picked from the garden;

Taste: the taste of a cool slice of watermelon on a hot summer day

Touch: is as soft as your favorite pair of fleece pajamas.

Not only do descriptions like these stoke the senses, they evoke emotions that are associated with familiar, happy things. Copy like this gives potential buyers a warm, fuzzy feeling - which leads to purchasing.
3
Ever notice how retail stores constantly update their windows, displays and in-store items? As a web seller, you must do the same to keep buyers coming back.

Add new items, put those that don't sell well on sale, and update the information associated with your product/cause. All of this gives buyers a reason to constantly come back to your store.
4
Poorly written copy turns buyers off and projects an amateurish image. Project a professional image by using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling at all times.
5
The web is a crowded selling medium. It's not enough to put up a shop and wait for buyers to come. You have to actively promote your store. This can be done in a variety of ways, eg, email marketing, writing and distributing free articles, networking at local chambers of commerce, packaging, signage, business cards, sending out free press releases, etc.

The outlets for marketing your ethicL store are only limited by your imagination. To be successful in any internet venture, you need a marketing strategy. Follow it consistently and you will increase traffic and store sales. And with the built-in community at ethicL, you have a head start over a free-standing store!

Remember, the money you make from your ethicL store is directly proportionate to the amount of time you're willing to invest in promoting it.
